In January of 2005, Holly and Michael created an interesting niche business for the local wedding and party scene: an event planning service that included a group of DJs ready to make any occasion special, even at a moment’s notice.  The idea was novel for this area – there were already several DJs in town, but most of them were solo acts and once they were booked for a particular date, that was that.  With Ruby Frog Entertainment, the group of trained and talented DJs with all their equipment and music could be in several places on any particular evening.

It’s a world where there are hundreds of options for every possible aspect of a wedding or event.  In this area there are hundreds of professionals who offer all sorts of services, from photography to cake to music.  A lot of choices are based on the compatibility with the vendors.  We have a little bit of everything someone might need for their party or special day.  If it is a DJ or a Wedding Singer or a band, help planning or even just some advice, we hope to be your first call when planning any type of event.

So you might ask… “What does a Ruby Frog have to do with it?”

Until owner Holly Hansen was 16 years old her family moved about twice a year.  They lived in condominiums, apartments, a motor home and even a grass hut in Tonga.  They were adventurers; therefore they didn’t accumulate a lot of “stuff”.  Her mother however always had this little frog made from rough ruby that was the one constant in her life; adorning every home they lived in no matter how big or small.  To this day that frog sits on the shelf in its own special spot at her parent’s home in Wallace.  She believes that if that little frog can survive the life it has had without getting lost then so can this business… her very own Ruby Frog.
